There's my baby!

I'm kinda liking this icon thing. Say hello to my car!

That's pretty. Sure beats the 1973 Plymouth Volare I was going to use for my icon.

Your car looks suspiciously like my car! Though... yours is black, of course.

Dude, you really should put it up. You show the world your '73, and i'll show the world my old '74(not a volare, but still a classic)!

Oh boy, David. I forgot two things:1) How much you loved the old Chevelle (Natalie?).2)Computers cannot administer a sarcastic tone. My bad. ;-P

I got the sarcasm. What you didn't know was how ugly I thought (and still do) my old car was ;-)

Yes, but that's why it's a CLASSIC!! I mean, would you see some crazy-assed detectives like Kojak or Cannon chasing pimps around in an Escalade?? Puh-lease!! Cars like yours and the benchmark of old school detective cruisers--the mid-70's Ford LTD, with it's seats that looked like sofas in a dentist's office and the whole car looked as if it would capsize in a hard turn--were used by every private dick--from Baretta to Jack Lord on Hawaii Five-O. Had the Chevelle been a bit heftier, I'm sure it could still be seen on the campiest of syndicated cop shows. That was the time when dinosaurs truly roamed the earth!!

My friend, you have masterfully described the mysterious attraction we have to such vehicles. Yes, it was ugly as sin. Yes is was shit brown, and yes, it got 10 mpg (on a good day). But by God, it had character. Natalie was a pain in the ass often times, and was definitely not condusive to picking up women, but still, it was MINE. It was the first car i ever owned outright, and as such will be the one car i will never forget. To all those who still are driving around the relics of 1970's detroit, I salute you!
